The London Times has begun a regular wireless telegraph service. News from this side of the Atlantic is now printed by the Times, through the Marconi stations on regular contract, the same as with the cable companies, and it is stated that the charges are but little more than the regular cable rate between London and Paris. This marks a new epoch in the publication of news. The wireless telegraph is now being turned to commercial use in this country. The great meat-packing firm of Armour & Co. has established wireless telegraph stations at their different headquarters in certain large cities, and report that the experiment is a success. More than a hundred patents have been taken out at Washington during the year covering different appliances used in different systems of wireless telegraphy.
