Prepared for What?

Prepared for what?—God is not asking His people to prepare to die, but to prepare to live. It is live men that God wants. It is life not death that He gives. No man is truly prepared to die a Christian's death till he is prepared to live a Christian life. Therefore, Christian brother and sister, prepare to live; and if it be that God wishes you to rest for awhile, prepare to live still throughout all eternity. The man who is prepared to live here will live there; for the only true living is by faith in righteousness.
