Philippine Church Property Dispute

GOVERNOR-GENERAL TAFT has decided that the dispute between the Catholics and the Independent Catholics over the ownership of church property in the Philippines must be decided by the courts of the islands, and has warned the governors of all the provinces to take sides with neither party, and to intervene only when the peace is disturbed.
