Better to Go Alone with God

It is better to go alone with God than to follow a multitude to destruction, nay, than to go alone to destruction; for tho there are multitudes that go to destruction, tho each in his anguish and misery will be alone, each one will be selfishly bemoaning his own trouble, with none to sympathize. Therefore he who goes with the self-willed multitude for company's sake will at the last be left to perish alone.
