ALWAYS LIGHT.

ON the wall of my room just by the door there hangs a match-holder. In the daytime it is very much like any other match-case; but at night when everything else is dark and gloomy, it shines and glows.
Some people are like that. Whenever it is bright and cheerful they gather in the sunshine and store it up; and when they find themselves in the gloom they give out the stored light to help some one else find the brightness. To everybody God has given this power of storing up sunshine, and he has also left them the work of giving it out. Some never learn to give it out, however. They think it isn't there. But there! of course it is! No one but remembers the brighter days and the sweeter words; and no one but can learn to lighten dark places if he will, with these same little storings of light.
