Duke of Abruzzi Proposed for Spanish Throne

CONSIDERABLE excitement has been caused in Madrid by the discovery that influential malcontents are organizing committees with the object of proclaiming the Italian Duke of Abruzzi, a candidate for the Spanish throne. He is now visiting Mediterranean ports in an Italian cruiser, and is received everywhere with enthusiastic demonstrations. In view of the conditions, the government has requested him to hasten his departure from Spanish waters.
