The Fastest Warship in the World

The fastest warship in the world, outside of torpedo-boats and torpedo-boat destroyers, is the new first-class, armored cruiser Drake, of 14,100 tons displacement. Her speed is 24.1 knots per hour, or very nearly 28 miles. Altho a cruiser, her armament, size, speed, and armor make her one of the most formidable fighting ships afloat. Her length is 500 feet, her width 71 feet, and she is able to carry coal sufficient for a 12,500 mile cruise.
