Colombian Revolt and Venezuelan Advances

The Colombian gunboat Boyaca, which had been missing for some weeks, with 300 men on board, was captured by the insurgents, and is now being used by them to guard the entrance to Panama harbor. The Colombian Government is seeking to compel an English steamship company operating in Central American waters to carry its troops from place to place. The company objects to furnishing transportation for the Colombian soldiers, and as England seems to uphold the objection of the company, international complications are threatened. The revolutionists of Venezuela have succeeded in capturing another city, the government troops evacuating the place without a battle.
