The August number of the Life Boat is all that its publishers promised, and is just the thing to put into the hands of persons addicted to the use of intoxicants. Address, Life Boat, No. 28 33d Place, Chicago, Ill.
A letter from Fiji to the Sydney, N. S. W., Telegraph says: “The Seventh-day Adventists, who started a mission in Fiji some years ago, have lately had a large accession of natives in the Lakeba District. It is reported that the whole of the people of Cikobia, and about half of the large town of Mualevu, have gone over from Wesleyanism to this new sect.”
Brother W. A. Alway is making an urgent appeal to our people throughout the country for assistance in building a church and school edifice in Salt Lake City. The need for such a building is pressing. Altho many have accepted the truth in that State, most of them have felt the necessity of moving away, as it is difficult for them to find employment after accepting the Sabbath of the Lord, especially for those who sever their connection with the Mormons. It is a field in which the enemy of truth is well established, as he has planted there a very beguiling counterfeit of the message which God would have scattered broadcast in the last days, namely, the coming of Christ to set up His kingdom. Those who desire to help in this matter should address, W. A. Alway, 63 East First South St., Salt Lake City, Utah.
