Reindeer Importation in Alaska

Rev. Sheldon Jackson, educational agent for Alaska, states that the government will continue the importation of reindeer into Alaska from Siberia, until 15,000 have been brought over. He claims that the experiment has proved a success, and that these, with the natural increase, will keep Alaska forever supplied with this useful animal, which the Alaskans are learning to use for transportation purposes.
