Liverpool Shipping Syndicate Forms

ANOTHER great shipping trust is now being formed for the purpose of offsetting the work of the steamship trust now under the direction of Mr. J. P. Morgan. This new trust will be known as the Liverpool Syndicate, and will be under English control. It is being encouraged and favored by the British and Canadian governments. It is a combination effected between the Cunard Line and other British shipping lines, which proposes to use not only the vessels now in service but to build others of large size and great speed both for passenger and freight service.
