Protecting the Behring Sea Seal Herd

An attempt is now being made by members of the Ways and Means Committee to re-open the question of the Behring Sea seal-fisheries with Great Britain, with a view to securing the permanent preservation of the seal herd. The indiscriminate killing of the female seals leaves thousands of young on the islands to starve.
