‘MADE FOR MAN.’

Jesus said (Mark 2:27, 28) that “the Sabbath was made for man.” He also said that He Himself was Lord of this Sabbath. Jesus was speaking of the seventh-day Sabbath of the Lord.

Mark that He does not say it was made for any particular class or race of men, nor yet for any particular time or dispensation of man. It must be allowed, therefore, that He was speaking of mankind in general from the creation to the end of the world. It was made for Adam, the head of the entire race.

Now as this Sabbath was made for you, what are you going to do with it? accept it and keep it? or say you do not want God’s precious gift, but would rather have a day of man’s invention instead? H. W. THOMAS.
