Anti-Missionary Riots in China

The rioters in the province of Chi-li, China, continue to carry on their campaign, and have inscribed on their banners the words, “Abolish the missionaries.” Troops have been sent into the disturbed district to put down the rioters. One French priest has been killed and another captured by the rebels, and the French are consequently taking a serious view of the present situation.
