Unrest Among Russia’s Laboring Classes

THE dissatisfaction of the laboring classes in Russia continues unabated. Strikes and strike riots are occurring daily in many different localities. Many have been killed in the riots in Moscow, and much blood has been shed in other places as well, where the troops have been called out to disperse the rioters. The dissatisfaction among the students is as intense as that among the laborers. Every class of Russian society is said to be more or less influenced by the rising storm. In some localities the people have taken to burning the forests, and raiding and sacking the homes of the wealthy.
