Proposed Pan-American Railroad

PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT has submitted to Congress the recommendation of the Pan-American Congress recently held in the city of Mexico that a commission should be created to investigate the feasibility of a railroad connecting the two American continents. The President indorses the suggestion and advises that an appropriation of $200,000 be made by Congress to establish such a commission. This commission would have to go over the proposed route of this Pan-American railroad and determine its feasibility as well as the financial possibilities of such an undertaking.
