German Women Admitted as University Guests

GERMAN women are said to be admitted to the lecture rooms of the universities only as “guests,” after passing a rigid examination, and later degrees as “guests” may be conferred on those who are able to pass the graduation examination. Recently the government has decided that women be admitted into the preparatory schools leading into the professions and universities, but still only as “guests.”
