Mormon Missionary Zeal

“THE growth of Mormonism stands as one of the surprises of human history. Their missionary zeal can hardly be overestimated. This organization of Latter-day Saints has all the compactness and authority of an army. At this time there are 2,500 young men, trained in Utah, posted in their dogmas, compelled to memorize their arguments, working as missionaries in the field. They work for the barest existence. They subsist on the countries or cities or towns where they work. No wonder their success is phenomenal.” But if error’s devotees are so zealous, how much more ought the advocates of truth to do.
