Santos Dumont’s Dirigible Experiments

Santos Dumont is continuing his experiments with his dirigible balloon. The present experiments are being conducted at Monte Carlo, on the southeast coast of France. Dumont has made several successful trips out over the sea, returning in safety. He expects soon to make a trip to the island of Corsica, a distance of about 130 miles. He has greatly improved upon the air-ship, and can control its movements with ease when sailing conditions are favorable.
