Explosion at Hondo Mines

A TERRIBLE explosion occurred at the Hondo mines, at Coahuila, Mexico, on Feb. 1st, in which eighty-four men are known to have lost their lives. About forty others are still in the wrecked mine, and it is believed that many or most of these have also perished. It is supposed that the explosion was caused by coal dust igniting from a miner's lamp.
