The Blessedness of Light

When the great Creator beheld by His command the first dawning of light on this darkened earth, He “saw the light, that it was good.” Gen. 1:4. But not so did He see of the darkness. Darkness is absence of light. It is not good of itself. It is necessary to man only because man has sinned, and can not yet bear the undimmed light of God. Sometime that day will come, that day which knows no night, and darkness shall forever flee away from the universe of God. Then shall the righteous see His face who dwelleth in the light that no man can approach unto. And only those shall so see in whom Christ, the Light of the world, dwells abidingly. “God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.” “Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.”
