Wickedness in the Great Cities

THE Westminster Council (London) has protested to the Home Secretary against the nightly scenes of flagrant vice witnessed in many of the streets of London, and has requested him to take measures to remedy the evil. The secretary holds out no hope of being able to bring about a better condition of things. The press and religious organizations have begun a campaign against these scenes of immorality, and it is maintained that the scenes witnessed in well known streets are worse now than at any time in the history of the metropolis. And the record of London is the record of every other great city. The world is filled with wickedness of every kind, and the ways of Sodom and Gomorrah are now rife in the earth. The punishment which fell upon those wicked cities is hanging over the whole world to-day.
