Chile and Argentina Prepare for War

The differences between the governments of Chile and Argentina have not been lessened by the recent conferences between representatives of those countries. Argentina has withdrawn her representative from Chile, and while the former country has appealed to England to assist in reaching a peaceful settlement, both countries are preparing for war; both countries are calling out their reserves, buying ammunition, preparing clothing for the soldiers, and beginning the manufacture of implements of war.
