“HOMEWARD BOUND.”

HOME has lost none of its charm, but its meaning has been broadened for us; so as we left the shores of America for “isles afar off,” it was not with feelings of regret, but of joy and deep interest in the work before us “Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare His praise in the islands;” for “the isles shall wait for His law”
We long to return home, not to America, England, or wherever our native land may be, but to our true home-land. For we are born from above;” “and of Zion it shall be said This and that man was born in her. The Lord shall count, when He writeth up the people, that this man was born there.” Ps 87: 5, 6. Then “the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isa. 35: 10.
We look forward to the great harvest, when we shall bring many sheaves with us. But it is “he that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,” that “shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Pray for our homeward-bound movement. G. F. JONES.
