Freight Blockade on Pennsylvania Railroads

There is now a great blockade of freight on the Pennsylvania railroads. Manufacturers are unable to get cars to ship their products. Some blast furnaces are closing on account of their inability to get coke, and finishing mills because they can not get in raw material or ship their goods out. The railroad companies are not only unable to furnish the necessary cars, but they also have insufficient power to move the freight if the necessary number of cars could be provided.
