Archaeological Discoveries Near Abydos

PROFESSOR W. F. PETRIE reports many valuable archaeological finds in the neighborhood of Abydos, Egypt. These consist of the gold scepter of Mena, the founder of the Egyptian dynasty, gold vases and jewels of the same period, engraved tablets and fragments of tablets, and 100 inscriptions and vases giving much information regarding the early history of Egypt. The discoveries were made in ground which had been abandoned as exhausted.
