Tube Company Faces Sunday-Law Opposition

The National Tube Company have run up against another combination. Before it was tube trust against labor trust. Now it is tube trust against Sunday trust. Announcing that it would start its mills in McKeesport, Pa., on Sunday, October 6, and continue to run thereafter on Sundays, raised a stir among the Sunday-law men, who appealed to Mayor Black. He refused to interfere. Mass meetings will be held. The Sunday-law people stopped the work in 1874 by threatening to arrest every one who worked. What the outcome will be, we do not know.
