Take the world, but give me Jesus;” He my constant friend shall be; Peace and joy can never leave me While my trust is stayed on Thee.
“Take the world, but give me Jesus;” In His love I’ll sweetly rest; While His arms enfold, protect me, With His Spirit I am blest.
“Take the world, but give me Jesus;” Let me feel His presence near; In His love I’ll trust forever; Naught have I on earth to fear.
“Take the world, but give me Jesus;” How I long my Friend to see! Soon He’ll come in clouds descending; Yes, He’ll come and set me free.
