It Is Too Bad.—The reports of attendance for the seventy German universities for this summer term, says the Independent, “emphasize the fact that in the department of higher education, Germany is the ‘teacher of the world.’” This is not promising for the world. Nearly all the infidelity in religion and the rank rationalism of higher criticism originate in Germany.
