The True Test of Discipleship

The true test of discipleship in the Christian life is loyalty to the Scriptures of truth. Jesus says: “Ye ‘are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command ‘you.’” That is His test. Feeling or fervor or physical-sense appeal are all nothing. Above all sense-evidence is the “more sure word of prophecy,” the everlasting Gospel, the unchangeable law. “If they ‘speak not according to this word, it is because there ‘is no light in them.”
