JESUS “THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.”

O my soul, where hast thou wandered? Wast thou Christian more than name?— Ears for deaf and eyes for blinded— Didst thou aid the poor, the lame? A friend to the poor was Jesus.
In myself there is no goodness; And how mean self now appears, Since I to the Saviour yielded, Heard His words and marked His tears. I am only whole in Jesus.
Blessed Saviour, Thou canst keep me, And I must to others tell Of the joys of Thy salvation, That within my bosom dwell. The joy of my life is Jesus.
Brighter let my lamp be burning, Beacon to some stranded soul; Never dim, but clearer shining, As we near th’ eternal goal. The light of the world is Jesus.
Praise the Lord! O halleluiah! For the light along the way For the progress of the message, For the dawning of the day The King that will come is Jesus.
