No Preaching

NO PREACHING is Christian that does not contain an element of consolation. There are always souls in every congregation that are in sore need of sympathy. “To preach to broken hearts,” says Dr. Joseph Parker, “is to preach to the times.” It is a very grateful thought that the Christian religion, in contrast with many man-made faiths that have been fairly cruel in their spirit and practises, is a sympathetic religion. It is a religion for the broken-hearted.—Selected.
