The Old Way Is the Good Way.

Dr. Berle, a writer in the Congregationalist, does not believe in the “laboratory method” of winning souls,—the method psychologic and analytic,—in which the mind is invaded and its characteristics catalogued and tabulated. He says: “For fifteen years I have been watching the steady advance of the illusion that souls could be brought to the kingdom in any other way than through the gateway of kindly leadership and the appeal to conscience.” He again declares that “man’s soul and heart were not made for the dissecting table of pastoral psychologists.” It is true. There is no other way but the way of Christ Jesus.
