Money Power and Prophetic Signs

Generally speaking, the cartoons which appear in our daily papers point out the drift of public thought and attention as certainly as the weather-cock on the spire points out the direction of the wind. Recent issues of some of the papers which are now doing much to mould public sentiment contain cartoons showing, in their way, the apparent inclination of the money power in this country to absorb everything in the world. While we cannot entertain the idea that the American Money King would ever seriously consider making a bid for the crown of King Edward VII., or of securing the throne of Great Britain to serve as a convenient seat in the summer-house of the American, we are amazed at the colossal fortunes of the men and combinations who “have heaped treasure together.” On the other hand we hear the cry of the hire of the laborer which is kept back by fraud, and the cries have reached the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. The preparations for war are impoverishing the nations, the call to stir up the mighty men is sounding throughout the world, and the inability to understand what these things mean is causing men to fear and their hearts to fail.
The SIGNS of July 24 will throw the search-light of the prophetic Scriptures on the present events, and enable all to understand what these things mean, and point out the only avenue of escape from the deception and destruction which certainly await those who are unprepared.
