TRUSTING

What tho the way seem dreary, Look above; What tho you grow aweary, Look above; God's Spirit will watch o'er you, His angels go before you, To guide and to restore you, God is love.
Sad heart, cease your repining, Look above; Beyond, the sun is shining, Look above; Tho cares may now surround you, And storms of life confound you, Yet sure His mercy bounds you; God is love.
Thy prayers shall all be answered, Never fear; Tho now thy hope seems withered, Brown and sere; He chastens but to try thee, But keep His precepts by thee; No good will He deny thee; He will hear.
Then rest thee in His mercy, Heart of mine; Let my desires and wishes Merge with Thine. Then whatsoe'er befall thee, Tho tempests wild appall thee, Yet He thy pathway clearly Will assign.
