Albany Street-Car Strike Ends in Bloodshed

THE great street-car strike in Albany, N. Y., has been brought to a close, but not without bloodshed. Many persons have been injured by bricks, stones, and clubs, and on one occasion the soldiers fired into the crowd, killing two men. More than 3,000 troops were on duty during the strike; but even these were powerless at times to protect from injury, the company's property, or the men who were operating it.
