THE HAVEN OF REST.

THERE'S a haven of rest from life's strain and distress; There is blessed release from this world's weariness, And whose hath faith to adventure the quest Shall surely reach Jesus—the Haven of Rest.
From the wrath of the waters and lash of the wind, A safe, love-locked harbor each frail bark may find; And the weak strands of hope, often frayed in life's test, Shall hold anchorage sure in the Haven of Rest.
From the reefs of Despair, where Death foams for its prey, A flash-light, blood-red, guards the mariner's way; And a voice thru the storm cries from Calvary's crest, “This way to the Haven—the Haven of Rest!”
Then enter Christ's love, all ye weary and frail; Cast your doubts overboard and bid faith fill each sail; And the tempest shall cease at the Master's behest, And permit to the Haven—the Haven of Rest.
