A SHORT BIBLE SERMON.

God’s Purpose

The Lord is long-suffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9),

His Power

and He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy (Jude 24).

His Part in This Work

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies hath He reconciled to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight;

Your Part of the Work

if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel (Col. 1:21–23); which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast (Heb. 6:19).

Assurance

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. Heb. 10:35. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. Heb. 3:14.
