O the ripples, how they dance, How the silvery sunbeams glance, And the heavenly splendors blaze Thru the happy golden days In Jerusalem, the city of the King! How the breezes as they blow Whisper blessings to and fro, And each brilliant palace shines Down the crystal streets so fine In Jerusalem, the city of the King! How the faces glow with truth, Rosy with immortal youth, Lustrous crowns on foreheads fair, Sparkling in the holy air In Jerusalem, the city of the King! O my Saviour’s glorious home, By thy river I would roam, Where my loving Father’s face Blesses all who win a place In Jerusalem, the city of the King!
