The Dead Cannot Communicate with the Living

A woman in Pittsburg dreamed that her husband, who had recently died, was calling her to follow him. Altho she had never been sick in her life, she was immediately taken ill, and when the report was written, the doctors did not believe she could live thru the night. If that lady had only known and believed the following verse of scripture, she would not have fallen under such a delusion. The text is: “The living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun.” Eccl. 9:5, 6. If the dead have no portion in anything that is done under the sun, they can not come back to communicate.
