The Sabbath and the Gentiles

A gentleman sends us a leaflet with request to publish it and comment upon its teachings. On the last page of that leaflet is this exhortation, “Let us take God’s teaching, His Word.” That’s good; but on page 5 he endeavors to show, contrary to that Word, that the first day of the week is the Lord’s day, and that the seventh-day Sabbath, “the Sabbath of the Lord,” was “a gift to Israel.” Its author does not know that every promise of God’s Word is of no account to a Gentile only as that Gentile becomes an Israelite thru faith. Every true Christian is a member of the commonwealth of Israel, whatever his fleshly birth.
