Why Medical Progress Will Not Lengthen Life

THE New York World sums up the opinions of numerous renowned physicians that it had asked to write upon the medical outlook for the twentieth century in the head-line, “Man Will Live Longer in the Next Century as the Result of Nineteenth Century Discoveries.” The advancement made in the science of medicine tends to longevity.
