Thankworthy with God

It is good to give thanks unto the Lord. It is better to be thanked by God. Says the apostle Peter: “For this is thankworthy [margin “thank”], if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable [thank, or thankworthy] with God.” Let us so give thanks that God may thank us.
