“Applied Christianity.”

This phrase has become almost a “household word” in some religious circles. One of our religious exchanges has a department entitled “Applied Christianity.” Inasmuch as that department comprises a comparatively small portion of the paper, which bears the title of Christian, it would be interesting to know what kind of Christianity the editors would assume for the remaining portion. The Word of God, which is the Christian’s text-book, recognizes no person as Christian by whom Christianity is not practically applied to the daily life. “I am the true Vine, and My Father is the Husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away.” John 15:1, 2. “Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.” Verse 8. In Christ we have a perfect example of “applied Christianity,” and anything short of His Spirit, manifested in the life, is not Christianity at all.
