To the Brethren in California.
By Cal. Conf. Committee
We have purchased a new tent, an exact duplicate of the other. You will see by appointments that we are now operating with both tents. We have paid for this new tent from our State fund, leaving only $100 in the treasury. I am informed by the State Secretary that there is considerable due from some of the churches on the past quarter. We hope an effort will be made to place this at once in the treasury. The pledges in the State for 1874 are $3,360. One half for the next six months would be $1,680. It will require all this to meet the expenses of the summer's campaign. Let all pay their pledges promptly, and let each treasurer collect and forward to the State treasury, that there be no embarrassment.
