OUR WORK AND WORKERS.

THE Nebraska Conference Committee have decided to hold a local camp-meeting at Arcadia.
AT a street meeting on a recent Sunday night, in Helena, Mont., there were 150 persons in attendance.
THE brethren at Milton Junction, Wis., have purchased a lot near their house of worship, and are preparing to erect a school building.
BROTHER DANIEL NETTLETON, after canvassing half of the city of Rochester, N. Y., reports 150 orders for the SIGNS, besides sales of other literature.
THE Nebraska Reporter says that Miss Winnie Peebles, for several years a teacher in Union College, has accepted a call from the Foreign Mission Board to go to the Bermuda Islands.
MRS. W. J. STONE, of Helena, Mont., recently took twenty-one subscriptions for the SIGNS in one week. There are many other sisters who might do likewise in their home towns or vicinities.
IT is reported that great joy was experienced on a recent baptismal occasion at Neillsville, Wis., when all the members of two German families were baptized. Brethren C. J. Hermann and J. B. Scott officiated.
THE churches at La Grange and Shamrock, Wis., have each spent a day picking berries for the benefit of the Helping Hand Mission at Milwaukee. The members of the Little Prairie church are canning berries to be shipped in later in the season.
THE tent work at Kearney, Neb., conducted by Brethren E. L. Stewart, O. E. Jones, and J. J. Hughes, is meeting with success. Twelve have decided to obey the commandments of God, and the meetings are attended by interested audiences.

BROTHER W. B. WHITE, who has been sojourning in the southern part of Colorado for the benefit of his wife’s health, has been appointed by the General Conference Committee to take charge of the work in Montana. The health of his wife has materially improved.
THE General Conference has just furnished a new tent, 28x52 feet, for the mission work conducted by the steamer Morning Star on the Lower Mississippi and tributaries. It is to be first pitched at Bruce’s Landing, Miss. The Gospel Herald says of this vicinity, “There are three hundred children in this neighborhood, with no school within four miles and a half.”
THE Minnesota Worker has a report from Brethren O. O. Bernstein and Luther Burgess at Maple Plain, from which we take the following: “At the time of this writing six adults have accepted the message of present truth under our labor. Among this number is a Presbyterian minister and wife. They came here two weeks ago to prevent members of ‘the flock’ from being led astray by ‘preachers of the law.’ Since coming, they have attended all our evening services, and we have had a number of personal interviews with them. As a result they see the glorious light and claims of the Gospel. They kept the Sabbath yesterday for the first time.”
THE Gospel Herald, published on board the steamer Morning Star, at Yazoo City, Miss., solicits clean copies of the SIGNS for missionary work. “They are just as good if a week old.” Concerning the value of the SIGNS, the Herald says: “This is the best paper for grown-up people that we have for this field. When the papers are given out, they are received gladly, and are read with interest.” By the way, if you want to help the Morning Star missionary enterprise, and be posted in regard to its work, it would be well to subscribe for the Gospel Herald. It is published monthly, at 25 cents a year, and is filled with interesting matter. Address, Gospel Herald Pub. Co., Yazoo City, Miss.
BROTHER L. A. HOOPES, corresponding secretary of the General Conference, says: “I am interested in the SIGNS OF THE TIMES, and I really believe the paper is growing better. I believe it is just the sheet that is needed in pioneer work. There are many letters that come into this office from the workers who use the SIGNS as a preliminary work in tent efforts, etc. . . . I know from my experience there is no work that we can do that so successfully arouses an interest in the minds of people that are not already aroused, as the SIGNS work. I can bid it Godspeed.”
