The Plague.

A correspondent of the Youth’s Instructor in India writes to that paper of the plague:—
“We in Bombay are again very heavily afflicted. The plague is alarmingly raging and increasing. To-day 348 deaths are reported. The daily returns for a fortnight have been about 300. Europeans and Protestant native Christians have so far been exempt, and the plague has for the most part been confined to the poorer classes; still there have been some deaths among the rich and educated. It is a fearful scourge and a very sad one. Would that the people would repent and turn to God, and that the plague might be stayed!”
The great plague preventative is living in harmony with God’s laws both physically and spiritually. He who thus fails to submit to God will be found by “the pestilence that walketh in darkness” and “the destruction that wasteth at noonday.”
