Sunday Victories and National Disaster

What will our Sunday Christian-nation friends do who predict dire disaster to all men and nations who refuse to observe Sunday? Have they heard that Dewey’s victory was won in Manila on Sunday? And now have they heard that the victory of the Atlantic squadrons under Sampson and Schley over Cervera, was also won on a Sunday? And not one man was lost in the engagement at Manila, and only one at Santiago? Does this indicate that God is against the nation which does not keep Sunday, which our friends erroneously and unscripturally persist in calling the Sabbath? Who knows but when Santiago, Havana, and Porto Rico fall, it may be on a Sunday? These things are worthy of thought.
