STORM AND FLOOD.

No year passes now without its record of storms and floods. The Ohio River breaking over its embankments and submerging the village of Shawneetown, Illinois, is an incident the like of which now occurs every year in some part of the Ohio or the Mississippi Valley.
Cyclones and hurricanes are very common, and are no longer confined to any particular part of the country or season of the year. Our grandfathers took us on their knees and very confidently assured us that earthquakes were confined to the seacoast. We can not give the same assurances to our children to-day, when their anxious and startled inquiries desire from us an explanation of all these disturbances in nature.
This increase of storm and flood, earthquake and tidal wave, means something. Has it ever occurred to you that the answer is in the Word of God? Search and see what you will find. T.
