Principle

PRINCIPLE.—There is one thing that is higher than policy, and that is principle. Better were it for the world if the men of principle ruled in the councils of state and of nations; the men who, having determined upon the right, wish to act now—now; who, having a message, would fulfil it at the earliest possible moment and unburden their souls. Nothing is gained in the end by time-serving, by policy. You can not compromise with the wrong.—Rabbi David Philipson.
